October 17, 2012

Ephrata Police Department (Lancaster County, Pa.) has selected the Metro Technology Services Visual Alert® records management software solution to efficiently and effectively prepare reports, manage records and control the flow of departmental information.

“Ephrata joins five other police departments using the Visual Alert system in Lancaster County, including two multi-jurisdictional regional agencies, two municipal police departments and one university public safety department,” said Tony Iannacone, founder and president of Metro Technology.  “We continue to expand our footprint across Pennsylvania with approximately 40% of the public safety agencies in the Commonwealth using our Visual Alert solution to streamline their operations and empower their officers with the information and investigative tools to better serve their communities.”

The Ephrata Police Department serves both the municipalities of Ephrata Borough and Ephrata Township.  Serving nearly 24,000 residents and a daily population of more than 30,000, there are 50 full and part-time employees that serve as police officers (30 sworn officers), community service officers, civilian support staff, and school crossing guards to keep Ephrata’s 19.58 square miles and 110 miles of roadway safe for its residents and visitors.
